York's Shona Gallery presents the Antique Railroad "King Throne," the most dramatic piece in the collection. Its tall ladder back rises 64" and holds three panels of hand carving in an animal motif, above broad, rounded arms and a deep, comfortable seat. It is a unique, memorable piece that guests remember long after they leave.
The throne is carved from Antique Yellow Jarrah, whose golden honey tone sets it apart from the rest of the collection. It is held together entirely with wooden dowels. The wood is dense and heavy, giving the solid, luxurious feel of a piece built from nothing but solid wood.
Place it in an entryway, living room or study, where it is sure to start a conversation.
