Antique Railroad Furniture Collection

The Antique Railroad Collection is handmade furniture from our friends in Zimbabwe, carved from solid Jarrah wood. Jarrah is a hardwood indigenous to Australia, prized for its strength, its deep color and its rich grain. Most pieces are made in Red Jarrah, with select pieces in Black Jarrah and Antique Yellow Jarrah.

Each piece is joined with hand placed Jarrah dowels instead of screws, which makes it far stronger than conventional furniture held together with metal hardware. There isn't a scrap of plywood anywhere in the collection. The wood is dense and heavy, giving the solid, luxurious feel of a piece built from nothing but solid wood.

The collection runs from dressers and bookcases to a hand carved King Throne. Every piece arrives fully assembled, needs no maintenance and is stamped for authenticity. These are pieces made to be used every day and passed down to your children and grandchildren. Each one is sourced 100% fair trade from artisans we have known for over 40 years.
