"Lucky Hand" is the kind of piece a room gets arranged around. An open hand rises with its fingers pressed together, and sheltered low near the wrist a face rests against the palm, eyes soft.
Inkomo carved the hand in cool gray green serpentine and left the entire thumb side raw, a sweep of burnt orange against the finished stone. The title carries the meaning: fortune is something held, and held gently.
At 33 inches tall, 27 inches wide and 15 inches deep, it commands a floor, a wide console or a garden bed with equal ease.
